(Un/Be) Spoken Word – writing for broadcast workshops

Spoken Word workshops took place at Plymouth College, over the course of two days. (to find out more about the workshops, or The Poetry Point, please leave a comment and we’ll get in touch).

After warming up with some simple creative writing exercises, we looked at how sound (specifically non-musical sound) is used, and often reconstructed from scratch – especially in the case of film making.  We discussed basic Foley Techniques, and watched some of the documentary clips made during the post-production period of King Kong, 2005 directed by Peter Jackson.
