Telltales at Splash Festival, Monday September 16th, 2013

Telltales on Monday 16th September features a true variety: radio monologue encapsulating the existential within the domestic; a thought-provoking and tense piece which uses Ted Hughes’ work as springboard; poems and stories which make the SPLASH theme come alive in moments which catch the breath.

Among both familiar and newer faces, we will hear veteran performer Mac Dunlop, and new writing from Rupert Wallis who is currently working on a book for publication. The range of pieces on offer moves from the light and child-like to a visceral examination of adult relationships in new poetry from Alex O’Callaghan.

The venue is Dolly’s Wine Bar, above Falmouth Booksellers. The programme begins at 7.30 p.m.
Clare Howdle, Telltales co-founder, will host the evening, as well as reading from her own recent work.
