Transliteracy

Transliteracy is The ability to read, write and interact across a range of platforms, tools and media from signing and orality through handwriting, print, TV, radio and film, to digital social networks. (PART 2007) The modern meaning of the term combines literacy with the prefix trans-, which means “across; through”, so a transliterate person is one who is literate across multiple media.

This 'Transliterate' design was created before the term gained its more popular use, it combines several languages, and poetry from different languages with literary forms other than the printed page. A collaborative artwork by Annie Lovejoy and Mac Dunlop, © 2005

The Poetry Point Project uses  the written word and visual art as its inspiration, offering participants the opportunity to explore their  inspirations and creative expression, through flexible outcomes.
